As a pastor, very few years have gone by where some tale of a family having an inheritance dispute has crept up. Or someone needed to talk things through because they were still severely troubled by a long past inheritance squabble.

By definition, science is never complete. It is always an ongoing effort to amass knowledge covering general truths using the scientific method. It implies a constant reevaluation as a hypothesis is tested over and over again…changing small variables as one proceeds…to determine if changing the smallest variable…changes the outcome. Even if science were a 100% exact science, which it never is, it is still being wielded by very fallible humans with their own inherent biases and often unconscious agendas.

To experience deeper relationships one may have to die to their efforts to always be right. Or in control. To experience greater peace one may have to die to the idea that some of our most deeply held values may not be Christ’s values. Perhaps they need to be re-thought.

Pastor Pat introduces what the Stations of the Cross are, where they started, why they lost popularity and being used for a while, then came back into more use. We then concentrate on several paintings depicting this Holy Week.
