News & Announcements:
Stewardship Campaign 2011 - The Stewardship, Budget and Personnel Committee has initiated the Stewardship Campaign for 2011 church year. A timeline has been established and an initial letter has been mailed to the church congregation. The letter summarized what the church committees, Deacons, and PW wish to accomplish in the coming year and what they have been working on in 2010.
The committees of the church are planning to present short summaries of their activities and upcoming projects as well as costs associated with these activities. These presentations to the congregation will start in October.
Please prayerfully keep the church costs in mind when you are drawing up your 2011 family budget.
Thank you!

- The Nominating Committee is looking for people to replace those Elders and Deacons completing their terms. We would like to ask all members to consider volunteer-ing for one of these positions. We know that some of you would like to step up to this challenge, and we’d like to know who you are. So, should you feel that God is leading you to serve in this capacity, please call Connie Fisher (578-8528) or Greg Dimler (587-8783). To learn the roles of Deacons and Elders, please refer to the recent Stewardship letter; they’ve put together a great summary of what each committee is responsible for. We look forward to hearing from you..

- OUR TEACHERS NEED OUR SUPPORT! We are looking for a few good people who are willing to be substitutes for our Sunday School and Wednesday Night teachers in case of illness or schedule conflict. Please fill out the volunteer information tab below, tear off and place in the offering plate or in Tammy Scott’s mail slot located next to the church office. Thank you for showing your appreciation for our teacher’s every day efforts by stepping in now and then!
- MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is looking for some very special volunteers to care for children during their meetings for 2 hours (9am-11am) on the first and third Wednesday of each month. These meetings provide a wonderful ministry to mothers by providing a place to be connected and encouraged in all aspects of motherhood with a strong foundation on biblical principles. Meetings start September 15th. If you or someone you know would be interested, please contact Yvonne Dewey at 272-5851 or Connie Whitelock at 250-0735.
- SERMONS NOW AVAILABLE ON CHURCH WEBSITE
On May 23, our church website began to offer the audio of each week’s sermon. Go to the church website (found on the front of this bulletin) and click on Sermons. That page shows the dates and titles of all sermons available. Click on the blue (MP3), following the sermon you want. Wait just a minute for it to download and begin playing. Your computer must be set up for mp3 (which is free and easily downloadable). CD copies are also available from the church office.
- USHERS NEEDED – To all of you who usher on a regular basis or usher occasionally – thank you so much! There are lots of “open Sundays” in August if you haven’t had a chance to help this summer and would like to – please sign up on the list on the bulletin board in the narthex. We appreciate YOU!
- Since 2001, the GRANNY’S LOVE School Supply Drive Program has been filling backpacks for needy kids who would otherwise arrive the first day of school without the supplies they need. Please check the bulletin board outside of Buswell Hall for more information about how you can help with this very important program.
