Our Current Mission Agenda:
As our senior pastor notes, "We have found and participated in some really good projects, but we haven't found one that we could participate in on an intergenerational basis, and one that we could do with some continuity from year to year. Now we believe we have found the solution."
In September of 2005 three members of our congregation traveled to Mississippi to learn how to build small water purification systems. The training is through Living Waters for the World. These members will train others in our congregation and it is our hope that we will be able to send our teams to help provide water resources - both material and spiritual - for those in need.
Current ‘Water Purification’ Mission Adventure:
- Orange Walk, Belize - August, 2009 Our High School Youth have enthusiastically decided to participate in this fun-filled and exciting mission trip to Orange Walk, Belize. Several youth will travel with the youth leaders, along with the “water crew” (including folks from around Cody and Wyoming) to help revamp and an old water purification facility within a school in Orange Walk, Belize during the first few weeks of August.
Check back as we will be creating a blog of the mission trip that the high school youth will maintain and update during the actual mission trip. Also, keep an eye out for photographs on the ‘Multimedia’ page when we all return!
Past ‘Water Purification’ Mission Adventures:

Past Mission Projects:
In the summer of 2005 our Missions Committee hosted a student from economically-strapped Lithuania, purchasing his work document and providing a place for him to live while earning money for his '05-'06 college tuition. Our connection with this student stemmed from having sent a member of our congregation to be an instructor at Lithuania Christian College for the Fall '03 and Fall '04 semesters.
In April 2003, through Mission Discovery, we sent a team of adult volunteers to Tecate, Mexico, to do a preliminary construction for houses that our team of teenagers put together when they made the trip to Tecate in July of that year.
